 Kay joined the mortgage industry in 2002, having worked in the banking industry since 1999. She has attended the University of Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University.  Before banking, she was a professional dance instructor and choreographer for seven years. Kay is currently an active member of National Association of Professional Mortgage Women's Association (NAPMW), Oklahoma Mortgage Banker's Association (OMBA), and American Bankers Association (ABA). She is a co-leader of Elite Entrepreneurs (E2) and Professional Women’s Network (PWN).

A Stillwater, Oklahoma native, Kay has lived in Tulsa for over five years. Kay is married and has one daughter. She enjoys hobbies of playing with her daughter, dancing, attending OSU football games and spending time with friends and family.
